USES:
This peroxyester is used as an initiator for the polymerization
of SAN/ABS and ethylene.
HAZARDOUS:
Organic peroxides may irritate eyes, skin and respiratory passages.
They are sensitive to heat, combustible and promote combustion.
If the ambient temperature increases, than the rate of decomposition
increases too. Above the critical temperature (SADT), spontaneous
decomposition may occur under conditions of restricted heat transfer
(e.g. in the supply container). Contact with concentrated acids and
alkalis, reducing agents or dirt, ash, rust and metal dust, also may
cause spontaneous decomposition. Under confinement this is explosion
risk. In case of decomposition without flame formation the vapor/air
mixture can explode.
PACKING:
The product is packed in polyethylene canisters with
net content of 20 kg.
STORAGE (TRANSPORT) TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED
Organic peroxide type D with temperature controlled UN 3115
